Carole Zuniga's Journey of Faith
I started misbehaving at age 13 when I began to realize that my dad never really loved me, and I started holding grudges against my mom because my dad would tell me things about my mom. He never came to see me, so I started going to parties. I started smoking weed. I hung around with the wrong crowd. We did a beer run, and I was involved in it, and I got arrested a month later. I did my time in juvenile. I got released. I started going out more to parties, clubs, and bars. I always said that I would never be a stripper. I’d instead work cleaning toilets, but that was my lowest. I went to become a stripper. It got to a point where I was going out every weekend.
After that, my husband came around. I brought him to The Universal Church. I would always hear the pastors talk about the Holy Spirit and giving up everything, and I would always say, “I’m too young. I still want to go out and have fun.” But I started seeing my husband wanting to change more.
He wanted to come more to church, and his way of being was changing. I started realizing I needed to change because I would lose him because of me.
I had my apartment. I had money, but I was not happy. My relationships were toxic. My heart was angry. I was sad and depressed. I was not happy. I was missing something. That’s when I did the Campaign of Israel for the Holy Spirit. I didn’t ask for anything else. I started getting up at 3 in the morning. I would seek the Holy Spirit in my daughter’s room since it was empty. I would go there on my knees daily, pray, read the Bible, and then start seeking Him. That’s when I let everything out, and I truly forgave my husband. I truly forgave my mom and my dad.
After receiving the Holy Spirit, my character changed so much with my marriage, especially how I am towards people. I can honestly say that I’m really happy. I have peace in my heart.
The Holy Spirit has given me this strength, peace, and love that no one in this world, nothing in this world, can give me. My marriage has been amazing with my husband. We’re able to communicate, work things out, and fix things when they go wrong. If you make a powerful vow, you will have a powerful testimony. I thank God for the Holy Spirit. I thank God for everything, and I’m grateful and happy.
