Discover Verônica’s Story and What Happened to Her After Suffering a Serious Car Accident
How often have you heard stories where science gave little or no chance of survival, but faith brought a turnaround? This is the powerful testimony of Verônica, a woman who faced the impossible after a terrible car accident. Her journey is living proof that God’s power can transform even the most desperate situations.
Verônica, wife to Luis Cláudio, suffered a serious accident while returning from work, leaving her husband, who was waiting for her at home, in shock when he received a call from a firefighter. “When the firefighter told me she was taken to the hospital, it felt like my soul had detached from my body,” he said.
When Luis Cláudio arrived at the hospital, the situation was critical:
• 12 facial fractures.
• A dislocated eyeball.
• Three cardiac arrests, the last lasting 21 minutes.
• Diagnosis: 1% chance of survival and possibility of vegetative state.
The doctors, without hope, even said that her face would be reconstructed just for the coffin to be open.
Faced with despair, Veronica’s husband sought and received direction from God. “Only the altar can resolve this,” he said to himself. Thus, Luis decided to participate in the Campaign of Israel, placing all his trust in God. “I believed that God would bring my wife back,” he said.
As a result of his faith, sacrifice, and trust, days later, Verônica, who was in a coma, began to react—contrary to all medical prognoses. Her recovery was slow but miraculous, transforming not only her life but also the lives of those around her.
Today, Verônica lives normally, takes care of other people, and shares her testimony of faith. “My greatest pleasure today is to tell people what the Lord Jesus can do for them. The 1% chance they gave me turned into 1,000% of life thanks to faith on the Altar,” she rejoiced.
