Read and Meditate on Today’s Message

A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. (Proverbs 15:13)

 
A downcast, sad, and depressed soul reflects, in its image, a lost life, lacking direction and devoid of pleasure with itself or with its family. It ends up isolating itself in failure and weakness of spirit.

But upon hearing God’s voice, His sweet words bring to this person the refreshment of the soul, which they have sought so much on various paths. And only then do they find the joy and perfect peace evident on their face: the joy of salvation. The miracle of the new birth!
