Soul Winners Pray for Micronesian Families in Hawaii on August 24th
Hawaii is renowned for its stunning scenery, with a rich blend of cultural traditions, beautiful beaches, and volcanic landscapes. Hawaii’s population cherishes the Aloha spirit, which values peace, kindness, compassion, and responsibility.
Thousands of Micronesians have made Hawaii their home in search of a better quality of life. Due to the negative impacts of US military use of their original lands and waters, Micronesians were granted the ability to live, work, and receive some public assistance in the USA.
The Micronesian community deeply values family bonds and its elders and cherishes hospitality. Micronesias are the fastest growing migrant population in Hawaii, with over 18.5 thousand people reported to have lived in the state from 2013-2017. Among the top issues faced by this close-knit community is discrimination.
On August 24th, 2024, at 11 AM, the Soul Winners Group hosted an event titled Prayer of Power aimed at supporting Hawaiian’s Micronesian community through prayers for family, spiritual deliverance, and overall health with the anointing with the Holy Oil.
The event was attended by over 25 volunteers who served approximately 80 guests during the service. Many reported experiencing miracles during the event.
Pastor Tiago Pacheco shared an inspiring Bible verse that was at the foundation of and fueled the event, bringing light to the mission of those who serve the Lord Jesus today and who are filled with the Holy Spirit:
“And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them.” (Mark 6:13)
