Groundbreaking Study on Repentance at The Universal Church

This Wednesday at 7 PM

Groundbreaking Study on Repentance at The Universal Church

This Wednesday, February 25th, The Universal Church will commence a special Bible study on repentance, personally prepared by Bishop Macedo. This evening, we will also partake in the Lord’s Supper, with the purpose of deep reflection and spiritual decision-making.

Why Repentance Matters

The intent of this study goes beyond theoretical teaching. It seeks to help participants understand why their spiritual lives may be stagnant. For many, even years of church attendance have not led to spiritual growth. Issues such as discouragement, weakness, spiritual slumber, and stagnation persist.

Before the promise of renewal comes the call to repentance. Both John the Baptist and the Lord Jesus began their ministries proclaiming the same essential message: repentance.

Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand! (Matthew 3:2)

This command is neither symbolic nor optional. Rather, it is a fundamental requirement for salvation. Genuine repentance is necessary for new birth, and without new birth, one cannot see the Kingdom of God.

This Wednesday’s Bible study will reveal what prevents many from advancing spiritually. Some may have been baptized in water, yet did not experience true transformation. Others seek baptism with the Holy Spirit without realizing that, without sincere repentance, there is no space for such an experience.

A Free Study for Those Seeking to Enter the Kingdom

Bishop Macedo will conduct this study every Wednesday evening at every location of The Universal Church. He emphasizes that the study is entirely free and open to anyone interested in attending.

The goal is to provide a step-by-step guide on what needs to be done to see and enter the Kingdom of God.

Lord’s Supper With Consciousness and Discernment

On Wednesday (25th) at 7 PM, we will hold the Lord’s Supper with a specific aim: to encourage each participant to discern the Body of Christ before partaking in the ceremony. The Lord’s Supper is an opportunity for self-reflection: a time to evaluate one’s own faith, acknowledge shortcomings, and make a sincere commitment to change.

Ultimately, true repentance is not a fleeting emotion; it involves a change of mind, behavior, and direction.
