Faith in the Lord Jesus makes forgiveness, deliverance, and restoration possible
Recalling the disobedience of Adam and Eve, Bishop Macedo noted that all humanity has inherited a sinful nature. Since that moment, sin has become part of the human condition and has distanced people from God.
However, he stressed that God’s mercy has opened a way back through faith in the Lord Jesus. This path remains accessible to all who sincerely choose to surrender their lives to God.
During his message, the bishop explained that faith is not merely a feeling or a superficial belief. Instead, it is a complete surrender in which a person dies to the world and begins to live for God.
He emphasized that it is this kind of declared and committed faith that makes the forgiveness of sins possible, no matter how grave the mistakes committed.
Furthermore, the bishop pointed out that no religion has the power to erase sins. Only the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus, through His blood poured out on the cross, can purify and redeem the human being in the eyes of God.
The bishop also explained that assuming faith means obeying God’s Word. He highlighted Abraham as an example—Abraham believed and obeyed God’s call, leaving his homeland.
Similarly, when a person hears the Word of God and decides to put it into practice, they begin to live by faith and find the path to spiritual transformation.
In concluding his message, Bishop Macedo stated that regardless of the chaos in a person’s life, through faith in the Lord Jesus, it is possible to restore all areas affected by sin and poor choices.
He emphasized that true change begins internally. When a person addresses what is wrong within themselves and develops communion with God, that transformation is also reflected outwardly.
