Foolish Children

‘For My people are foolish, They have not known Me. They are silly children, And they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, But to do good they have no knowledge.’ (Jeremiah 4:22)

God calls foolish those who do not seek to know Him and do not reason to follow the path of goodness. They are quick-witted in doing evil, chase after fleeting emotions, and, without discipline, suffer the consequences of their bad choices, sinking into an obscure and meaningless life. This happens because they have not experienced the goodness of God, they have not been able to see what is right and they have not learned to do good.
