But made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. (Philippians 2:7)
The Lord Jesus humbled Himself, taking on human form, and lived as an ordinary man, without privileges, even when being the Envoy of the Most High.
His determination was to obey Him and be the Perfect Sacrifice for the sake of the souls who would come to believe. They would be saved and return the sacrifice to Him, living apart from the things of the world, and sanctifying His precious Name.
