Do You Know What the Kingdom of God Is?

Many people talk about faith, miracles, and blessings; however, few grasp one of the most important themes taught by the Lord Jesus: the Kingdom of God. This Wednesday at 7 PM, a special study on the Kingdom of God will take place at The Universal Church.

During this meeting, participants will have the opportunity to gain a clear and biblical understanding of what it means to be part of this Kingdom and how to live according to the principles established by God.

So, what is the Kingdom of God?

The Difference Between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven

As Bishop Macedo explains, many people confuse the Kingdom of God with the Kingdom of Heaven. Although often treated as the same, there is a significant difference between the two concepts.

“This Wednesday, we will teach people the difference between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven,” he noted.

According to him, entering the Kingdom of God means submitting one’s life to the Lord’s will—allowing God to reign in one’s thoughts, decisions, and attitudes.

“When a person enters the Kingdom of God, they submit to the Word of God, aligning their thoughts and desires with His will,” he stated.

Seeking First the Kingdom of God

The study will also discuss a well-known teaching from the Gospel, recorded in Matthew chapter 6, where the Lord Jesus instructs:

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Although many are familiar with this passage, they often do not understand its practical meaning. Seeking the Kingdom of God involves more than just words or feelings; it entails a change in mindset and behavior.

“Seeking first the Kingdom of God means letting God reign in our lives, directing our thoughts to live according to His will,” he emphasized.

Learning to Live According to the Word

Another important point is that living in the Kingdom of God requires practicing biblical teachings in daily life. These principles include forgiving others, loving your neighbor, acting sincerely, and doing good without seeking human recognition.

“Those who submit to the Kingdom of God learn to do good sincerely, without expecting praise or recognition from others,” he explained.

When a person aligns themself with the Word of God, they begin to act differently from the patterns of this world, prioritizing what pleases the Lord.

An Invitation to Learn and Reflect

Therefore, the study commencing this Wednesday aims to help each person understand their place before God and evaluate whether they are truly living according to the principles of the Kingdom.

“Do you want to learn what it is to live in the Kingdom of God? Then come and participate. The church is where we learn to live according to the Word of God,” the bishop invited.

Anyone wishing to better understand this topic is welcome to attend The Universal Church and join this special study on the Kingdom of God.
