Bishop Renato Cardoso Leads Meeting in South Africa

On September 8th, 2024, Bishop Renato Cardoso held a significant meeting at the Soweto Cathedral in Johannesburg, where thousands gathered for his missionary visit.

Highlights of the Event

The meeting began with powerful prayers for healing, liberation, and family restoration. However, the Bishop emphasized that true liberation doesn’t come solely through strong prayers. He pointed to the words of Jesus:

“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” — John 8:32

“You are of your father the devil, and you want to fulfill your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and did not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he utters a lie, he speaks from what is his own, because he is a liar and the father of lies.” — John 8:44

“It is not the church, the pastor, or a strong prayer that frees someone, but the Truth, which is Jesus,” the Bishop explained. “On one side, you have the truth, Jesus, which brings freedom. On the other, you have the lie, the devil, who enslaves people through deception. Who are you following?” he challenged the congregation.

The Importance of Living in Truth

Bishop Renato pointed out that many people mistakenly believe they serve God simply by following a religion, but their actions reveal whether they truly seek Him. “How can you claim to follow the truth while living a lie? You may attend church, be part of a group, or even serve as a worker, but if you live in sin outside of it, who are you really serving?” he asked.

He urged the attendees to stop living a life of pretense and fully embrace the truth, no matter how difficult it may be. “Stop living in sin. Be of God. Read the Bible, and the Holy Spirit will reveal the truth to you. When the Word of God enters your mind, you will be set free—from addictions, illnesses, the devil, and everything that enslaves you,” the Bishop declared.

The meeting served as a powerful call for attendees to reflect on their faith and align their lives with the truth of God’s Word.
