Being a follower or disciple of the Lord Jesus has its differences. While one only seeks his favor and support, the other prioritizes following in his footsteps and puts his total commitment into building an intimate relationship with the Almighty. In the face of such distinctions, those born of the flesh separate themselves from those born of the Spirit, that is, the chosen ones.
Being chosen by God, without a doubt, has its privileges, such as His peace, His direction, and, above all, Eternal Life. Eternal and non-negotiable goods superior to any riches or recognition this world can offer. Although many consider them unreachable, conquering them requires nothing more than planting. See what the Word says about this:
“For he who sows to his flesh will from his flesh reap corruption; But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap Eternal Life.” (Galatians 6.8)
“The sowing principle is used to show how the Eternal God gives back to those who walk in the Spirit and those who walk in the flesh. This principle serves as a warning to show that man has the freedom to choose what he sows, but he must not forget that his harvest will correspond to what he sows. It is impossible for someone to plant corruption and lies and reap eternal life, just as it is impossible for a man to sow faith and fidelity and reap condemnation”, explains Bishop Edir Macedo.
A faith based on the desire for one’s desires becomes fragile and passive in the face of difficulties, capable of putting not only one’s life but also one’s Salvation at risk. Hence the importance of having the seal of the Spirit of the Living God within oneself. If you don’t have Him yet, decide to give yourself to Him body, soul, and spirit. Plant a relationship of trust and obedience with God today and receive the guarantee of a full and eternal life through his Spirit.
