The Word of God Brings Us Confidence and Security.
“Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.” (Proverbs 12:25)
Those who live anxiously expect to take possession of something or see results quickly. An anxious person can get discouraged easily, making it even more challenging to achieve what they want.
Anxiety is counterproductive. The more anxious you get, the harder it is to achieve what you desire. Perhaps now you understand why you are so downcast, weak, powerless, and do not know what to do. Anxiety makes people exhausted because it steals their energy. But there is good news! Read the verse below.
“…but a kind word cheers it up.” (Proverbs 12:25)
If negative words provoke a feeling of anxiety, the good news is that kind words counteract it!
Therefore, to overcome anxiety, you need to connect to the Word of God because it will calm you down. The word of God brings us confidence and security. In return, this will calm us in moments of tribulation, demonstrating trust even amid chaos.
God’s words remove all feelings of anxiety, fear, and worry. It strengthens us as if it were a vitamin.
The psalmist said,
“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word, I put my hope. I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.” (Psalm 130:5-6)
You can put good use to anxiety! Waiting for the Word and the Presence of God makes you satisfied because He always fulfills what He promised. So, use your anxiety to yearn for God, seek Him, and you will quickly find what will fill your heart and your needs.
To eliminate anxiety, stay away from people who feed it. Stop bringing information that promotes an anxious spirit before your eyes and ears. Instead, strengthen yourself with the Word of God because it will give you the support you need. When you least expect it, anxiety will be something of the past and will never disturb you again. You will see life in another dimension. In other words, it is a dimension of peace, trust, security, and the certainty that He who has everything in His Hands controls your life.
