When someone is in the midst of heavy and dense fog, they lose their sense of direction, and the lines become blurry. Depending on the situation, a person might lose all visibility to the point of not being able to see their hand in front of their face.

Perhaps you’ve experienced something similar and recall how distressing the situation made you feel. Imagine being in that state for years on end.

Nearly 280 million people worldwide are estimated to be living with depression. This number may actually be higher, as many hide their struggles with depression.

When Life Feels Like Fog

Just as a person amid dense fog, those facing depression find themselves without visibility and direction in life. It is as if they are paralyzed by fear of not knowing what tomorrow holds, and discouraged due to not being able to envision a future worth fighting for.

No one understands them because no one can truly see them—because depression is an inner battle—a soul in agony and pain—a life without color and joy.

The Overwhelming Struggle

Have you felt:
• Lost?
• Emotionally and physically tired?
• Fearful and confused?
• Like you’re walking in circles without a way out?

Perhaps you have done many treatments and live numbed by medications, convincing yourself to give up. Stop. Wait. There is a faithful promise for you from the One who does not lie nor fail:

(…) to give them a crown of beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and a garment of praise for a spirit of despair. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified. (Isaiah 61:3)

In The Universal Church worldwide over the years, we have witnessed God lifting the fog of depression from the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. It is not a coincidence; it is His faithful promise.
