Lovers of Pleasure

Read and Meditate on Today’s Message

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy […] traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, (2 Timothy 3:1-2,4)

 
Human beings think their lives, of at most a hundred years, should be enjoyed intensely; therefore, they are more lovers of the pleasures of this life than lovers of God.

They do their own will, not that of God. They were not created by Him to be lovers of themselves, thinking that they are strong and beautiful and yet having greed for great riches. They are extremely proud, ungrateful, and disobedient to their parents, always in the midst of confusion and orgies, without love for themselves, for their neighbor, or for God.

How sad! God loved them so much and suffers from the disrespect and dishonor toward Him.
