Before the promise of salvation comes the call to repentance. Both John the Baptist and the Lord Jesus began their ministry with the same message: repentance.
Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand! (Matthew 3:2)
This command is neither symbolic nor optional; it is a fundamental requirement for salvation. Without genuine repentance, there can be no new birth, and without a new birth, no one can see the Kingdom of God.
Therefore, the Wednesday study will highlight what prevents many from advancing spiritually. While some have been baptized in water, they may not have experienced true transformation.
Others may seek baptism with the Holy Spirit but fail to understand that, without true repentance, there is no opportunity for this experience.
Bishop Macedo emphasizes that this Bible study is completely free and open to everyone interested. The aim is to teach, step by step, what a person needs to do to see and enter the Kingdom of God.
