As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. (Psalm 42:1)
In the human heart—that is, in the soul—there exists a vast space that can only be filled by the One who owns that place: the Mighty, Great King and Lord of all creation.
That is why people feel an emptiness, a hole in their hearts, and seek fulfillment through things and people, but do not find it—until their soul encounters God and is satisfied, being born again to true life.
