In the Eyes of the Lord

Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?’ The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. (1 Kings 3:9-10)

When a person receives God’s love, they stop being selfish and begin to think about the Lord’s chosen people, giving themselves body, soul, and spirit for them. It was so with Solomon, and this pleased God deeply. Those who have the Spirit of the Lord naturally desire to share the gifts they have received.
