Bread From Heaven

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, ‘Take, eat; this is My body.’ (Matthew 26:26)

Imagine receiving the blessed bread from the hands of Jesus. What a privilege! He even declares, “This is My body.”  With this gesture, Jesus reveals the sacrifice of His life to free sinners from eternal death, that is, the definitive separation from God. With this act, He grants us salvation and invites us always to remember the high price He paid for our sins.
