Embracing the Elders in the Community in Virginia

Caleb's ‘Helping is Good’ Movement Brings Joy to Nursing Home Residents

Embracing the Elders in the Community in Virginia

On September 8th, 2024, at 2 PM, Virginia’s Caleb Group visited the Saint Francis—Manchester Assisted Living Community in Richmond, VA to pray for residents. The volunteers engaged with the elderly by sharing the Word of God, singing together, and playing games.

Seventeen dedicated volunteers provided prayers and organized fun activities for the 25 elderly attendees, creating a heartwarming environment of support and joy.

Message From Pastor Edward

Pastor Edward shared an inspiring message. He stated, “Most of the residents suffers from loneliness and missing their families. However, the Word of God says that the Lord Jesus is in their midst when we gather to pray for each other.”

For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them. (Matthew 18:20)

This profound message emphasized the importance of community and connection.
