Bringing Faith, Fun, and Companionship to Seniors in the Corporate Capital
On August 18th, 2024, Caleb Group volunteers visited a local nursing home in Wilmington, Delaware, to offer prayers, share messages of faith, and organize games and Bible quizzes for the elderly residents.
Wilmington, the largest city in Delaware, is often referred to as the Corporate Capital of America, with two-thirds of Fortune 500 companies incorporated there. The city has a population of 71,954, including 10,296 seniors.
On August 18th at 2 PM, a group of nine volunteers from the Caleb Group visited a local nursing home. The volunteers said prayers, shared messages of faith, and organized games and Bible quizzes. A total of 22 elders participated and had a wonderful time engaging with the volunteers.
Pastor Israel expressed, “The residents were very happy to have us there.” Caleb’s visit left a heartwarming impact, and the group plans to return in the future to continue supporting the nursing home residents with prayers and companionship.
