Rocrastination Can End Relationships and Even Delay Your Professional Life
Who hasn’t procrastinated and left aside important tasks to do other non-important assignments? For example, some people don’t do important tasks because they binge-watch episodes of their favorite series. Only afterward do they realize that they wasted time on something that they should not have given priority to.
Procrastination is more common than we can imagine and can be highly harmful to our lives. Procrastination can end relationships and even delay your professional life. The Bible says,
“Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.” (Proverbs 6:6-11)
Now is the time to act! Just as ants work intelligently to fulfill their duties without needing a push or nudge. We, too, must work intelligently by planning and completing our most urgent without losing focus.
If you want to eliminate procrastination, plan your routine, list your tasks, separate what is urgent and less important, and avoid interruptions. Remember to use your time wisely because life requires effort to develop. It is also essential to ally with God and seek His direction, accessible to all through the Bible.
