This week, it is celebrating 14 years of service, spreading the Gospel, and promoting social initiatives for various groups. On February 23rd, 2025, to commemorate this significant milestone, a special service will take place at The Universal Church in Serrekunda. Approximately 200 people are anticipated to attend.<\/p>\n<p>The program features the <em>Nutri-Action Event<\/em> organized by <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/universalchurchusa.org\/en\/category\/caleb-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Caleb Group<\/a><\/span>, which focuses on supporting senior citizens. This event will take place at 1 PM, including a talk on healthy eating and overall well-being, with guidance from health professionals. Attendees will also receive nutritious snacks. They also support and encourage preventive health habits and physical exercise for the older population.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/uckgthegambia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Universal Church in The Gambia<\/a><\/span> also engages with various age groups through two social programs. The first is the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/universalchurchusa.org\/en\/category\/ypg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Youth Power Group (YPG)<\/a><\/span>, which helps young people overcome addictions and depression. The second program is the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/universalchurchusa.org\/en\/category\/soul-winners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Soul Winners Group<\/a><\/span>, which, in addition to participating in social initiatives, also supports individuals facing discouragement, providing messages of strength, hope, and faith.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>A New Life<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Universal Church has a crucial purpose: to bring the Gospel to everyone in need. This is how Annah Jarju experienced a life transformation. The situation worsened after I married when I started hearing voices and seeing shadows at night. I was rejected, even by my husband, who left me and went to Senegal. I felt angry and lonely, especially with my young children.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Annah sought help in hospitals and religions but received no answers.<em> \u201cThat\u2019s when I decided to go to Senegal to get treatment and visit my son. I told him everything I was going through, and he invited me to go to The Universal Church,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 she says.<\/p>\n<p>She finally reveals what happened to her life after she entered a temple of the church: <em>\u201cOn the first day, I remember that I was able to sleep very well. When I returned to The Gambia, I continued attending and committed myself to God. Today, I no longer suffer from the disease.
