{"id":345129,"date":"2025-01-28T12:08:57","date_gmt":"2025-01-28T17:08:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/universalchurchusa.org\/en\/?p=345129"},"modified":"2025-01-28T12:08:57","modified_gmt":"2025-01-28T17:08:57","slug":"the-lord-jesus-can-deliver-you-from-all-evil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/universalchurchusa.org\/en\/post\/the-lord-jesus-can-deliver-you-from-all-evil\/","title":{"rendered":"The Lord Jesus Can Deliver You From All Evil"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">On the first\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/universalchurchusa.org\/en\/tag\/friday\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Friday<\/a><\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u00a0<\/span>service of 2025,<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/birafonseca.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bishop Joshua<\/a><\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0recalled the story of Mary Magdalene from the Bible, from whom the Lord Jesus cast out seven demons\u2014her life was in shambles. However, the Lord Jesus chose her and came to deliver her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">After His death, when He resurrected and came out of His tomb, he did not first appear to His disciples or even His mother. Instead, He appeared to Mary Magdalene, who, before her deliverance, lived in a self-destructive lifestyle. This shows that the Lord chooses those despised and rejected in this world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cHe chose those who are nothing to shame those who think they are (1 Corinthians 1:28). And maybe you ask, \u2018Why me? Why am I here?\u2019 God chose you,\u201d<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0 added the bishop.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Lord Jesus Can Deliver You<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8)<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cAnd what are the works of the devil? Hearing voices, seeing shadows, insomnia, addictions, nightmares, bad dreams, bad thoughts\u2026 When we say here, \u2018In Jesus\u2019 name,\u2019 and you say the name of Jesus when you say to the evil, \u2018Get out!\u2019\u2014You are casting out the evil working in your life,\u201d\u00a0 <\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">explained the bishop.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The bishop then invited all congregants and attendees, both in person and from the Virtual Church, to join in prayer for spiritual freedom\u2014for deliverance.\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cJesus is here! He is there with you, and He will destroy the works of the devil,\u201d<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0 he assured, leading<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, soon after,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> the strong prayer for deliverance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Fire of the Holy Spirit Inside of You<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">When concluding the Friday service, Bishop Joshua emphasized the crucial need for the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/universalchurchusa.org\/en\/tag\/the-holy-spirit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Holy Spirit<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">within us<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to keep us from evil and guide us during difficult moments during our journey of faith.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.\u201d (1 John 5:18)<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cWhy not? Because what you have inside of you is greater than what satan does. Let&#8217;s say somebody is against you, badmouths you, and is doing something to harm you right now. Somebody wants to see your downfall. But because you are the fire, their \u2018fire\u2019 cannot burn you. The Scripture says,\u00a0<\/span><\/em><strong><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u2018For our God is a consuming fire.\u2019 (Hebrews 12:29)<\/span><\/em><\/strong><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0If I have this fire inside me, their \u2018fire\u2019 or whatever they want to do will not affect me,\u201d<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0 clarified the bishop.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">One should not fight physically <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">or<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> verbally <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">or be arguing<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.
