How do you act when your plans don’t go as expected? For many women, just a small deviation from the route is enough for everything to fall apart. Desperation, frustration, and even the search for someone to blame are the ways they respond to the situation. Have you ever thought that this might reveal something deeper?

Unforeseen events are small obstacles that arise without warning. Imagine a woman who, after a long day at work, has planned a special family dinner. Everything seems perfect until she receives an unexpected call: a longtime friend has been hospitalized. Her heart sinks, and her initial plans quickly become secondary.

Another example is when she prepares for an important meeting and, the day before, one of her children falls ill and needs attention and care. Stress builds up, and the feeling of inadequacy arises. These two facts show the weight of the responsibilities we carry and the expectations we create.

In a recent episode of Meditation of the Word, a series available on Univer Video, Cristiane Cardoso discussed an essential point: a woman’s reaction when facing problems reflects her true spiritual condition. According to Cristiane, Faith is supported by small daily practices that anchor our life in God.

“In a certain situation in life, I was crying in a corner of the wall. There was something in my heart that I really wanted, and, in my anxiety for this dream to happen, I realized that I wasn’t trusting God,” shared Cristiane. Many of us have been in that place where a dream didn’t come true as we expected, and, amid pain, we can’t see that, perhaps, God’s Will wasn’t our top priority.

Life’s trials, both big and small, are designed to reveal where we are spiritually. When we move away from God, even without realizing it, He still tries to rescue us and puts people and situations in place to bring us back. However, many times, amid pain, we fail to recognize these signs. And it is precisely at this moment that we need to pause and reflect: “Where am I going wrong? Where am I breaking my Covenant with God?”

Cristiane highlighted that reactions to crises show whether we are truly grounded in the Word. “You have to evaluate where you are going wrong and not go to God and blame Him for the bad things that happen in your life,” she suggested. If we don’t do our part, God doesn’t move either. It is also not enough to just pray, attend church, or have good intentions, as true Faith is revealed in small, everyday actions and attitudes.

Therefore, in times of distress, instead of turning away from God, we must ask Him to use us and guide us wherever we are. After all, trials are opportunities for us to grow spiritually and realign our hearts with the Will of God.

Godllywood Self-Help

The Godllywood Self-Help is a conference made by women for women.
