On October 13th, 2024, at 1 PM, six volunteers from the Caleb Group<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>in South Carolina gathered to offer encouragement and health support, such as blood pressure checks, to the elderly.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n South Carolina<\/span><\/a> is renowned for its rich history, natural beauty, and vibrant culture. From the Civil War<\/a> <\/span>to stunning natural attractions like the Blue Ridge Mountains, coastal marshlands, and sunny beaches such as Myrtle Beach<\/span><\/a><\/span>, the state offers a diverse range of experiences. Among its population of over 5 million, more than 1.28 million are seniors<\/a><\/span>, making up 25% of the state’s residents.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n On October 13th, 2024, at 1 PM, six volunteers from the Caleb Group<\/a><\/span> in South Carolina gathered to offer encouragement and health support, such as blood pressure checks, to the elderly. The event saw about 20 attendees, who benefited from both the physical and spiritual guidance offered.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Bishop Edson delivered an inspiring message, urging attendees to care for their souls just as they care for their physical bodies. His words reminded everyone of the importance of both spiritual and physical well-being.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n During the event, Bishop Edson shared a parable from the Bible:<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe land of a rich man was very productive. And he began reasoning to himself, saying, \u2018What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?\u2019 Then he said, \u2018This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, \u201cSoul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink and be merry.\u201d\u2019 But God said to him, \u2018You fool!
