On October 19th and 20th, the Caleb Group<\/a> <\/span>promoted an event nationwide focused on preventing breast and cervical cancer. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Life-Saving Importance of Awareness and Prevention<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

October is widely known worldwide as a month marked by proactive efforts in the prevention and early detection of breast cancer\u2014a movement known widely as Pink October.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2022, breast cancer was the most common cancer among women<\/a> <\/span>in the vast majority of countries worldwide, with 2.3 million diagnoses<\/a><\/span> and a heartbreaking 670 thousand deaths. The fourth most prevalent cancer among women<\/a><\/span> is cervical cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prevention and early diagnosis can save lives. Screening women aged 50 to 74 every two years reduces breast cancer deaths by 26%<\/a><\/span>, preventing seven deaths for every 1,000 women screened compared to no screening.<\/span><\/p>\n

Caleb\u2019s Pink October\u2014Together For This Cause<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Caleb Group<\/strong> held the 3rd edition of its own Pink October Breast Cancer Awareness Event<\/strong> to share information about breast cancer and cervical cancer, helping to prevent it and raising awareness about the importance of early detection. The event occurred on October 19th or the 20th in 25 US states and the capital, a total of 52 seminars.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over 210 volunteers across the USA united to raise breast cancer awareness and promote women\u2019s health to over 1100 people at The Universal Church<\/a><\/span> locations nationwide.<\/span><\/p>\n

The gathering included Caleb\u2019s regular attendees, family, friends, and guests, who graced a special day dedicated to the female audience and self-care, addressing hormonal risk factors that can contribute to cancer development.<\/span><\/p>\n

In some locations, nurse professionals participated by offering valuable guidance, clarifying doubts, and highlighting signs of worsening the disease, as well as warning about preventable factors such as smoking. Preventive measures according to the age group were also discussed, such as reducing exposure to certain drugs and radiation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A total of seventeen professionals spoke during the event in their respective cities. <\/span>Where<\/span> a health professional speaker was <\/span>not present<\/span>, volunteers showed an informative video teaching life-saving screening measures and the importance of early detection.<\/span> Attendees also viewed a slide presentation with valuable information on breast and cervical cancers, exposing risk factors and sharing prevention tips.<\/span><\/p>\n

Community and Prayer<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The event offered a heartwarming opportunity for community interaction, enabling attendees to enjoy quality time with family, friends, and neighbors while sharing their own experiences, knowing there are friends who listen and care.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each local Caleb Group had its variety of activities: conversations, refreshments, finger foods, and a diversity of ways to bring awareness, such as wearing and sharing pink clothing or accessories, pink ribbons, and<\/span> pink bands.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a blessed event with an overwhelmingly positive response from those attended. The Holy Spirit was ministering to them today, and it was a blessing.\u201d (Tatiane, volunteer from Louisiana)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Regardless of the circumstances, nothing can surpass the power of the Word of God and sincere prayer of faith. Therefore, a message from God\u2019s Word and prayers were an integral and foundational part of this event, seeking God\u2019s wisdom, guidance, and strength in facing life\u2019s struggles.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
