This initiative is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our beloved elderly community members.<\/span><\/p>\n

Purpose of the Event<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Caleb Group<\/a><\/span>‘s<\/strong> commitment extends beyond the church into the community. The \u2018Helping Is Good\u2019<\/strong> movement had the primary aim to:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Increase visits<\/span><\/strong> to the elderly
\n<\/span>\u2022 Assist them in gaining a <\/span>better quality of life
\n<\/span><\/strong>\u2022 Bring <\/span>spiritual strength<\/span><\/strong> to those who live alone<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018You shall stand up in the presence of the grayheaded and honor elders, and you shall fear your God; I am the\u00a0Lord<\/span>. (Leviticus 19:32)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2018Helping Is Good\u2019 Activities<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"During September 2024, Caleb Group volunteers and members engaged in various activities, including:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Home Visits:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Bringing care and companionship directly to elders in their homes.
\n<\/span>\u2022 Nursing Home Visits:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>Spending<\/span> quality time with residents and <\/span>providing<\/span> emotional support.
\n<\/span>\u2022 Hospital Visits:<\/span><\/strong> Offering encouragement and comfort to those under medical care.<\/span>
\n<\/span>\u2022 Beauty\/<\/span>Makeover<\/span>:<\/span><\/strong> Helping elders feel beautiful and confident.
\n<\/span>\u2022 Board Games:<\/span><\/strong> Spending time playing games and having fun.
\n<\/span>\u2022 Luncheons\/Afternoon Tea:<\/span><\/strong> Sharing meals and enjoying pleasant conversations.
\n<\/span>\u2022 Spending Time Talking:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Simply being there to listen and talk.<\/span>
