Virginia\u00a0and Its Homelessness<\/span><\/h4>\n

Virginia<\/span><\/a>,<\/strong> often referred to as “the birthplace of a nation,” is renowned for its rich history and significant landmarks, including the\u00a0Pentagon. Visitors can explore the\u00a0Historic Triangle\u2014Jamestown,\u00a0Colonial Williamsburg, and\u00a0Yorktown\u2014to experience the early foundations of American history. However, despite its illustrious past,\u00a0Virginia\u00a0faces a persistent issue with\u00a0homelessness<\/a><\/span>. The Point-in-Time (PIT) Count<\/a><\/span> indicated 6,761 persons experiencing homelessness in Virginia on a single night in January, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

Soul Winners Give Back to the Community<\/span><\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

On\u00a0<\/span>September 5th, 2024<\/span><\/strong>, at\u00a0<\/span>6 PM<\/span><\/strong>, the <\/span>Soul Winners<\/span><\/strong> group of The Universal Church hosted an event aimed at evangelizing, praying, and providing food items to homeless persons residing near an abandoned church building. Over <\/span>ten volunteers\u00a0participated, assisting around\u00a0<\/span>20 people\u00a0to ensure they received nourishment and support.<\/span><\/p>\n

People\u2019s Gratitude<\/span><\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The impact of this initiative was profound, as expressed by participants. <\/span>One person remarked, “I had no food to eat tonight at my workplace, so I am thankful for the gesture you have provided us. Now I have something to eat tonight.”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Another participant stated, “I sleep on the street and don\u2019t know where my next meal will come from. But now I have something to eat for tonight.”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Pastor Edward shared an uplifting message: \u201c<\/span>God is able to reach all kinds of people as long as they believe.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Jesus said to him, \u201cIf you can believe, all things\u00a0are<\/i>\u00a0possible to him who believes.\u201d (Mark 9:23)<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
