The Temple of Solomon<\/a><\/span> in S\u00e3o Paulo concluded its 10th anniversary celebrations on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, with a grand ceremony featuring the Changing of the Flags. The festivities attracted thousands of visitors from diverse cultures and nations, who experienced <\/span>a series of<\/span> unique events over ten days.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Changing of the Flags Ceremony<\/span><\/h4>\n

The final <\/span>day\u2019s<\/span> highlight, the Changing of the Flags<\/em> <\/strong>ceremony, began at 7 PM (local time). Before the flag ceremony, attendees enjoyed a performance by the S\u00e3o Paulo’s Youth Orchestra, which performed uplifting songs of faith.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"The ceremony, held on the <\/span>Temple\u2019s<\/span> Esplanade, featured the hoisting of flags representing the 148 countries where The Universal Church<\/a><\/span> operates. This marks an expansion from the 110 flags displayed at the <\/span>Temple\u2019s<\/span> inauguration in 2014. On this special occasion, flags for Slovakia, the<\/span> Czech Republic, Thailand, Serbia, and Sri Lanka were added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bishop Renato Cardoso<\/a><\/span> opened the ceremony with a prayer and a message of faith. He emphasized the importance of living the Truth to spread the Word of God.<\/span> “The obligation of the saved is to take the Word of salvation to those who do not yet know it. But, to do this, if you want to take the Truth to the world, you need to live it,”\u00a0 <\/em>he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the prayer, pastors and new missionaries raised the flags for all nations where The Universal Church conducts its evangelistic work.<\/span><\/p>\n

Global Participation<\/span><\/h3>\n

Among the international participants was a delegation from Senegal, who traveled 22 hours from their country, <\/span>with a stop<\/span> in Ethiopia, to join the celebrations. Pastor Cristian Lagares, responsible for The Universal <\/span>Church’s<\/span> work in Senegal, expressed his joy at the event.<\/span> \u201cIt is gratifying to see the Word of God reaching all nations and transforming lives. To raise the flag of Senegal here is a special honor,\u201d\u00a0 <\/em>he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Juciara Cassiano, who has been in Jamaica for nine years, <\/span>noted the significance of the event, saying,<\/span> \u201cEveryone is enchanted by the grandeur of the Temple. Seeing new people joining the Church because of this event is a great victory.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Cleide Ara\u00fajo Carvalho, who attended the <\/span>Temple’s<\/span> cornerstone laying in 2010 but had been away due to personal struggles, shared her gratitude for the opportunity to return.<\/span> \u201cKnowing that I can experience this moment again is an honor and a privilege,\u201d\u00a0 <\/em>she said. Her daughter, Patr\u00edcia Ara\u00fajo, 17, also felt privileged to be part of the ceremony.<\/span><\/p>\n

Night of Salvation with Bishop Macedo<\/span><\/h3>\n

At 8 PM, the Night of Salvation<\/em><\/strong> began with Bishop Edir Macedo<\/a> <\/span>and his wife, Ester Bezerra. Bishop Macedo spoke about the relationship between marriage and <\/span>one\u2019s<\/span> relationship with God. He emphasized that being right with God also means being right with <\/span>one’s<\/span> spouse.<\/span> \u201cWhen you are right with Him, you are right with your spouse. If you are wrong with your spouse, there is something between you and God,<\/em>\u201d<\/em> \u00a0<\/span>he explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

He further discussed the concept of Truth as God Himself, asserting that living in Truth may involve suffering but will ultimately bring honor.<\/span> \u201cWhen you submit yourself to the Truth, you will certainly suffer because of it, but it will honor you in the future,\u201d\u00a0 <\/em>he stated.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Bishop Macedo encouraged attendees to embrace the Truth and allow the Holy Spirit to guide their lives.<\/span> \u201cWhen you deny the lie and embrace the Truth, the Holy Spirit comes upon you,\u201d\u00a0 <\/em>he concluded, leading a prayer for everyone present.<\/span><\/p>\n
