The \u2018Dodging Hunger\u2019 Event Takes Place for the First Time in Japan<\/b><\/h4>\n

The charity sports event brought together around 2,300 people at the Hamakita General Gymnasium. See how it unfolded.<\/p>\n

After numerous successful editions in Brazil, Driblando a Fome<\/i> made its debut in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka province, Japan. Organized by the For\u00e7a Jovem Universal<\/em> (FJU), also known as Youth Power Group<\/a> <\/span>(YPG), and Unisocial<\/a><\/span>\u2014both initiatives of The Universal Church\u2014the charity event took place last Thursday, August 15th, at the Hamakita General Gymnasium, attracting over 2,300 participants.<\/p>\n

Prominent figures, including the Consul General of Brazil in Japan, Mr. Aldemo Garcia, and local school principals attended the event to honor this significant initiative.<\/p>\n

During the event, approximately 6 tons of non-perishable food were collected, which will be distributed to Japanese families in need.<\/p>\n

Culture and Sports<\/b><\/h4>\n

The event featured cultural performances, including a demonstration of Wadaiko, the traditional Japanese drumming art. Throughout the day, attendees also enjoyed 75 sports competitions, focusing on two main categories: mixed volleyball and soccer.<\/p>\n

\"\"On the soccer field, Bishop Randal Junior, who oversees The Universal Church’s evangelistic efforts in Asia and Oceania, led a team in a friendly match against a team of local pastors. The game aimed to demonstrate that when people unite for a good cause, everyone can emerge victorious.<\/p>\n

A Cry for Peace<\/b><\/h4>\n

The day concluded with a powerful call for peace, led by Bishop Randal. He shared a message of faith with those who were feeling hopeless and seeking change in their lives.<\/p>\n

“Perhaps you feel like a dry leaf, crumbling under the weight of many problems,”<\/em>\u00a0 he said. “But God is here, now, ready to transform your situation.”<\/em><\/p>\n

“I met and heard stories from people I’d never known before. I saw many smiles and left with a heart full of hope, knowing that, despite everything, we have each other and, most importantly, God!”<\/em>\u00a0 shared J\u00e9ssica Matsumoto on social media.<\/p>\n

“People from different regions came together for sports, announcements, and, above all, to hear powerful words of faith. I believe that everyone who attended felt the difference and left inspired to pursue a new path in life. It was truly a wonderful day!”<\/em>\u00a0 added Yumi on social media.<\/p>\n
