But the question is: What are you tired of? Is it fighting\u00a0or\u00a0is it suffering? There&#8217;s a\u00a0huge\u00a0difference between these two.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">When those tired of suffering\u00a0are attacked\u00a0by fear, they may even crawl into a cave at some point\u00a0in their lives. But once they have suffered enough, they take a stand, face and overcome their fears, and turn the tables on defeat and shame.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\" data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">They do what Gideon did in the Bible. God called him to change his life and the lives of the entire nation because of his attitude:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><em>&#8220;Now the Angel of the LORD came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son GIDEON THRESHED WHEAT IN THE WINEPRESS,\u00a0to hide it from the Midianites.&#8221;\u00a0Judges 6:11.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">A winepress is no place to thresh wheat. Yet instead of hiding in the cave with his\u00a0people, dying of hunger, Gideon decided to come out, took action, and sought a solution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Elijah, the prophet, on the other hand, who had experienced God&#8217;s deliverance in\u00a0great\u00a0ways, got frightened by a letter threatening his life and became irritated by the unbelief and ingratitude of the people of Israel and got &#8216;tired of fighting.&#8217; So much so that he asked God for his death and crawled inside a cave. He\u00a0was overcome by fear and had to be replaced by Elisha. God had to choose someone else to replace him, saying:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><em>&#8220;&#8230;you shall anoint lehu the son of Nimshi as king over Israel. And Elisha, the son of Shaphat of Abel Meholah, you shall anoint as prophet in your place.&#8221; I Kings 19.16<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Tell me, what are you tired of?\u00a0Suffering or fighting?\u00a0Your answer to this question will determine where you are going: Out of the cave or into one.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this world of evil, all of us are tired.
