Have you ever been upset with God? Naomi from the Book of, “Ruth” in the Bible was widowed and childless when she returned to Israel. She changed her name, which meant \u201csweetness\u201d,\u00a0to Mara, meaning \u201cbitter\u201d and justified herself:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI went out full, and the Lord has brought me home again empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since the Lord has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>In other words, she blamed God for her losses and became bitter. Similarly, many are like this. There are even those who stop believing and abandon\u00a0their\u00a0faith because they blame God for their problems and allow bitterness to enter their hearts.<\/span><\/p>\n

We won\u2019t always understand the reasons why certain things happen in life. God allows this so that we learn to trust even without understanding. Most people don\u2019t think about how often they trust without understanding. For example when people trust how a plane flies or when they trust a prescription they receive from a doctor. But, when it comes to God, they require explanations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ruth, Naomi\u2019s daughter-in-law, lost her husband and accompanied her mother-in-law to Israel. Israel was a foreign land that prohibited its men from marrying outsiders, but she decided to trust in God. She believed\u00a0and because of this faith, she married Boaz. Afterwards she became David\u2019s grandmother, and entered the genealogy of Jesus. Isn\u2019t that wonderful?<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u00a0is what God does, He accepts those who are humble and place their trust in Him. Yet how can one trust someone they don\u2019t know?<\/span><\/p>\n
