Kathy\u00a0was charged\u00a0with 2 of the top 4, but through the power of God, she made it out of the system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">I was charged with assault with a deadly weapon due to a wrong decision I made one night. I was arrested and sent to prison. Let me tell you, life behind bars was no life at all; it was just miserable.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\" data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">I had seen so much behind those walls: people cutting themselves, people lying on the dirty ground, cut up and bleeding. There would be fights and riots among inmates, and it would often get fatal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\" data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">There was no peace inside me. I only had hatred, fear, and frustration. I would see the worst of the worst. It was like that throughout my time in prison. I was in a dark place. I lost all hope of ever having freedom again, but I thank God for the UBB coming into the unit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Through their work, care, and dedication, I was helped\u00a0so much. The UBB classes opened my eyes and taught me to look ahead and improve my life, even\u00a0while\u00a0in prison.\u00a0received\u00a0letters from the UBB, which allowed me to believe that someone was truly there for me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">I got released from prison and came to the Universal Church.
