On Sunday, March 10, 2024, there will be a \u201cMaster, I Brought You My Son\u201d<\/strong> event. The purpose is based on the passage from Mark 9:17, in which a desperate father sought the Lord Jesus to free his son.<\/span><\/p>\n

He Didn\u2019t Give Up:<\/span><\/h4>\n

“Then one of the crowd answered and said, \u201cMaster, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit.\u00a0 <\/span>And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.\u201d (Mark 9:17-18)<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

“The father brought his son to Jesus\u2019 disciples, but they could not help him. So he insisted, he didn\u2019t give up. He could have thought this: \u2018I already took my son there to the disciples of this Jesus, and they didn\u2019t do anything for him.\u2019 But no, even though Jesus\u2019 disciples could not help him, he went straight to Jesus,” said Bishop Renato Cardoso.<\/span><\/p>\n

God Knows Your Pain:<\/span><\/h4>\n

He highlights that many of the miracles that the Lord Jesus performed in the Bible occurred through the intercession of a father or mother. He also cites the case of the Canaanite woman and that of Jairus\u2019 daughter.<\/span><\/p>\n

  • \u201cThis shows that God knows the pain of a father and a mother. He knows your pain, but he needs you to express faith, as this father did. God can only work with the raw material of faith. If God doesn\u2019t have faith, He won\u2019t do anything because He needs whoever approaches Him to believe He exists. Without faith, it is impossible to please God, but everything is possible for those who believe. So, we need to express our faith so that Jesus can take action,\u201d he explained.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Purpose of Faith:<\/span><\/h4>\n

    On that occasion, the Lord Jesus taught that the secret to overcoming spiritual problems like that of that boy is only through fasting and prayer, which is why the disciples could not cast out that demon.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whichever family member is in trouble, we will offer fasting and prayer on their behalf and present our vow for the family. The vow generates the new creature.
