YPG (Youth Power Group) in Mozambique organized the Mega Day Event. During the event, everyone was oriented to fight for a better life.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Why Is This Important:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On June 25th, 1975, Samora Machel announced the entire Proclamation of Independence to the Mozambican people. June 25th marks the date of the conquest for freedom and the beginning of a new era of national sovereignty.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-338459 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/universalchurchusa.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2023\/06\/Mega-Day1-300x169-1.jpg\" alt=\"YPG Mozambique: Mega Day Event\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/>About the Event:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the motto \u201cDo you want to be independent\u201d? The youths were encouraged not to depend financially and emotionally on bad friendships and addictions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The environment of the Mega Day Event was exciting and joyful. There was music and dancing, and all the youths present had fun. Besides all the entertainment, they heard a message about good directions to take in society.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, there were testimonies of former drug addicts who found support in the Youth Power Group. These ex-drug addicts testified that a young person could get rid of addiction.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-338460 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/universalchurchusa.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2023\/06\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-06-19-at-10.25.15-300x129-1.jpeg\" alt=\"YPG Mozambique: Mega Day Event\" width=\"300\" height=\"129\" \/>Special Presence:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bishop Alaor Passos, responsible for the evangelistic work of the Universal Church in Mozambique, was present at the event. He explained to the youths the importance of fighting to obtain true freedom from addictions and seeking help from God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, Bishop Alaor and his wife spoke to the young people with a theme focused on intelligent love.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The subject was chosen because many young people start their love life without being ready.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt is necessary to talk to the youths if they do not learn now. They will probably make mistakes and already have scars in their adult life with failed relationships.\u201d said the Bishop.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Special Thank You:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Counselor for Culture and Tourism in the Municipal Council of Maputo, Isabel Macie, welcomed the YPG initiative.
