Why Has Evil Prevailed?

Take Advantage of the Opportunity Given to You, Go to This Rock (Jesus), and Act by Faith

Why Has Evil Prevailed?

Why has evil prevailed in many people who profess faith in God? Why are the lives of so many sincere believers a living hell, even though they attend church and sometimes even hold a position of trust and prominence among the congregation?

Jesus said: “You are Peter, and on this rock, I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16.18)

The church that Jesus refers to is nothing less than:

“…a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2.9)

The royal priesthood is those who materialize their faith through sacrifice. From the entire Christian universe, God separates the chosen generation, forming a holy nation. Which is made up of those who set the foundation of their lives. Through the sacrifice placed upon the “Stone” (Altar), the Lord Jesus.

To become part of this “chosen generation,” it is not enough to attend a church, be an evangelical, and receive a blessing here or there; we have to forsake the values of this world and do the following:

“Then you will lay your gold in the dust and the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks. Yes, the Almighty will be your gold and your precious silver.” (Job 22.24-25)

Abraham did this: he laid down “his son, his only son, Isaac,” who represented, besides his past waiting one hundred years to have him his present being his greatest treasure here on earth, more valuable than his riches, and his future because he was the guarantee his lineage would continue. He laid him on the Rock (Jesus) and gave him as an offering. Abraham then became the father of the faith of this chosen generation to live a life in paradise here on earth and, in the future, in eternal glory with our Lord.

Take advantage of the opportunity given to you, go to this Rock (Jesus), and act by faith. Doing so you won’t be one of the many people where evil has prevailed. Pour yourself onto the Altar without reservations and become the Church of the Lord Jesus. Doing so never, at any given time, will the gates of hell prevail over your life. God bless you!
