Read and Meditate on Today’s Message
My soul melts from heaviness; Strengthen me according to Your word. (Psalm 119:28)
When one relaxes in faith, there is a discouragement, a sadness in the soul; everything becomes meaningless and dull. A lack of meditation on God’s Word, of speaking with Him and listening to His voice, leaves a person disoriented and aimless.
Upon realizing how far one is from God’s presence, one must ask, like the psalmist, for strengthening in His Word; only then will one’s soul be restored and have the joy of salvation again.
