Learn From Jacob How to Restore Your Ways Through Faith
Jacob, a person mentioned in the Bible, made many mistakes and faced many adversities. He deceived his father, ran away to avoid being killed by his brother, and was deceived several times in his uncle Laban’s house. If you have a similar story of mistakes and struggles, learn how to restore your path through faith based on Jacob’s story.
Our mistakes make us and those we love suffer. That’s why you must think before you act or speak. You must think about your seeds before you plant them because if you plant them, you will certainly reap them.
“I know that many people here are paying dearly for deals they shouldn’t have made, trusting and opening up to people they shouldn’t have, acting on emotion, etc. All of this has caused them enormous losses, but don’t worry. God can restore even what you lost through your mistakes. You need to trust in that. It doesn’t matter how much you lost because the Lord has more to give you,” said Bishop Jadson Santos during the ‘Prosperity With God’ meeting at the Temple of Solomon.
Don’t blame yourself. Learn to forgive others and yourself. Take advantage of the bad experiences you’ve had and take the lessons you’ve learned with you for the rest of your life.
Jacob was a difficult and complicated person, but he was tired of being that way. This desire for change is crucial: a person must be open to transformation.
“People who refuse to acknowledge that they need to change are often rigid; they cling to their flaws and do not grow. The most beautiful thing is for the husband to see his wife change, for the wife to see her husband becoming better. However, this change should not occur out of self-interest, as a temporary deception, but rather through a genuine effort to leave the past behind and become someone new,” reflected the bishop.
“Jacob means usurper, but God changed his name to Israel. In the same way, perhaps you were once known for being a deadbeat, in debt, poor, but God can give you a new name, a new reality,” he added.
The order of importance in your life should be God first, followed by your family, and then your financial life. Do not change this order, as it can lead to failure.
“Don’t put money above God; otherwise, you will only be happy as long as you have money. If you lose it, you will be devastated. You can’t live for that. Some days, you win, others you lose, and some days, it’s a tremendous battle, but God is with you through it all. Many people wouldn’t like to go through the hardships they are going through, but that can’t kill your faith. Because in the end, the Creator will prove that He is with you, change this situation, and fulfill what He promised,” concluded the bishop.
