Be the Blessing

Bishop Joshua Explains How To Be the Blessing

The ability to know a child through a look or the tone of voice is something common among children and parents. However, there is someone who knows you in a deeper way… Better than your parents. We cannot hide who we really are from Him.

The Bible says that there was a man who pretended to be his brother in order to deceive his father. If you are familiar with the stories of the Bible, then you know that I am speaking about Jacob (also known as Israel). One person, but two names. One before and one after. Who was Jacob and how did he become Israel?

Jacob was the son of Isaac and the grandson of Abraham.

Up to a certain point in Jacob’s life, he ran after the blessing, pretended to be someone he wasn’t, and deceived everyone including his father. But he didn’t deceive God.

He was tired of pretending to be someone he wasn’t, but only when he took action, did God change his name to Israel. From then on, he also received a transformation of life and became a blessing.

“For there is no sorcery against Jacob, Nor any divination against Israel. It now must be said of Jacob and of Israel, ‘Oh. what God has done!’ (Numbers 23.23)

Who do you want to be.. the one who runs after the blessing or the one who is the blessing?

Those who are not the blessing need to pretend to be someone they are not. But those who are the blessing, succeed wherever they go.

The Holy Spirit wants to give you a new name and a new beginning. But it’s time to recognize that you need a change.

remember, when you are able to bless others.
